What is Walled Garden Gin?
AN EXCLUSIVE CATEGORY OF GIN
Cultivated Elegance. Rooted In History
This is the essence of The Gordon Castle Estate where you will find the historic Walled Garden and the products that owe their origin to this magical place. The centuries old Walled Garden is an eight-acre enclosure designed to delight the senses with its impeccable beauty and tranquility.

The Walled Garden, however is more than pure aesthetics. It is a productive and functional kitchen and botanical garden from which all Gordon Castle Walled Garden products derive their provenance. The center of the garden is the source of the lavender and mint that help flavor the exquisite Walled Garden Gin. The walls themselves are adorned with stone fruit trees — trained over the centuries to hug the walls permeated with warmth from the coastal Scottish sun, and quenched by the waters of the nearby River Spey. In Summer, The Walled Garden can receive up to 18 hours of daily sunlight, making for an robust growing season where botanicals can maximize their flavor and aromatic potential.
A Speyside Spirit With Real Provenance
Upon hearing the term "speyside", many will immediately think of the great distilleries producing Speyside Highland Malt Scotch Whiskies. What you may not know, is that many of the original Scotch distilleries wouldn't be known if not for the 5th Duke of Gordon. General George Duncan Gordon, The 5th Duke of Gordon, proposed and help enact the Excise Act of 1823, effectively legalizing distilling and paving the road for many of the amazing provincial spirits enjoyed today.
Gordon Castle Walled Garden Gin continues this tradition by creating a Gin that can trace its flavor profile down to the exact eight-acre micro-climate created within the historic Walled Garden. That is why we call it a "Walled Garden Gin". An exclusive category of gin with a history and provenance like no other!
